1.53 million Swiss Francs for research projects

IRP and IRP to finance 11 new research projects  

The scientific committee of the two grant making foundations, IRP Zurich and IRP Geneva, has had its annual conference on 26 January 2010. Out of 27 applications for grants, the committee has selected 11. Details These research projects met all requirements and amount to 1.53 million Swiss Francs. The boards of the grant making foundations have approved the proposal of the scientific committee.

New applications always welcome: Deadline for grants as well as nominations for the "Prix Schellenberg" 31 October 2010 

IRP Zurich's and IRP Geneva's mission is to support basic and clinical research on CNS regeneration, neuroprotection and functional restoration. Applications by individuals or start up groups are always welcome. The deadline for the new application period is Sunday 31 October 2010.

 

 

Guidelines For Research Grant Application

The International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia – IFP Zurich and the International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia – IRP Geneva are private research foundations with the exclusive aim to promote basic and clinical research related to spinal cord injury.

Research projects may address all aspects of CNS and spinal cord lesions, nerve regeneration, neuroprotection, trophic support of lesioned neurons, and functional changes induced by lesions preferentially in mammals. Clinical research projects can be situated in the fields of diagnosis, acute lesion management including surgery, neurology, urology, rehabilitation, and other areas related to paraplegia.

Deadline for applications: 1 October 2009
